Hello family & friends,
It has been a little over three weeks since Deb's sugery on 8/28/08. As I expected, Deb is doing fantastic. We did a little clothes shopping yesterday (loose fitting is the current criteria) and had a successful outing. Deb's energy level is still a bit low but her shopping instincts remain razor sharp. No surprise there. Last week we had a very good "post op" visit with Dr. Ahmed, Deb's OBGYN. What a great lady with only positive encouragment coming our way. She confirmed that Deb is healing well from the sugery and will continue to get better with each passing day. Thanks from both of us to Dr. Ahmed. Next tuesday at 4:00 PM we see Dr. Braich, Deb's new oncologist. Chemo is coming. He comes from the Mao Clinic and Dr. Ahmed told us he is one of the most intelligent physicians she has ever met. We take that as a good start. Let's see if he can pass Deb's rules for recovery. Be positive or be gone. I love and respect her attitude. We both understand that we have a ways to go with this experience and it will have challenges. Hair loss (maybe), fatigue, IV's and the lot. With your help and limitless support, we can get through all of it. Our love for each other prevails over the moments of fear that come naturally. There was a time early on when I wondered how I was going to live without her. Now all I see is our future together and many happy trails ahead. Care to join us? We love you all and thank you for your support.
My heart is open,
Don

Dave and Linda are here at Wings doing a Listening Heart back-up and missing you both. We checked in to see how chemo is going, but no news, so please post again to give us the latest.
I pray for you every day and wishing you sunny days.
