HI,
THIS HAS BEEN A ROLLER COASTER OF A WEEK. I HAVE GONE FROM BEING VERY CONFIDANT TO FEELING SCARED, UNSURE AND BACK AGAIN. MY DR. ISNT VERY PERSONABLE AND I AM REALIZING THAT IS WHAT I REALLY WANT. THE NURSES ARE GREAT THOUGH AND HAVE TOLD ME THAT HE IS A GREAT DOCTOR SO MAYBE I CAN STICK IT OUT WITH HIM. HE DEFINATELY IS NOT A HAND HOLDER. I CAN GET THAT FROM MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY AND THE NURSES. I WENT TO ACUPUNTURE TODAY, I FEEL A LOT BETTER. IM SEEING A NATUREPATH TOO. CHEMO WAS 6 HOURS, NOT SO BAD. IVE JUST BEEN A LITTLE TIRED. DAVE AND LINDA HAVE A GREAT TIME AT LISTENING HEART AND KNOW WE ARE THINKING OF YOU. SAY HELLO TO KYLE AND KRIS. THANKYOU TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR VISITS, CALLS, CARDS, THEY ARE ALL APPRECIATED. LOVE DEB
HELLO TO ALL,
OUR FIRST CHEMOTHERAPY TREATMENT IS IN THE PAST. SIX HOURS, A LITTLE KNITTING, SCRABBLE AND WELCOMED VISITORS AND DEB IS OVER WITH ROUND ONE. THE PLAN IS FOR SIX TREATMENTS SPACED 3 WEEKS APART. WE CAN DO THIS. DEB IS DOING THIS. ALTHOUGH THERE HAVE BEEN MOMENTS OF CONTINUED DISBELIEF AROUND THIS WHOLE EXPERIENCE, DEB HAS BEEN AMAZING, REAL, ENGAGED AND MOST OF ALL, IN CONTROL OF HER EXPERIENCE. SHE IS ON A PROACTIVE PATH AND DOING GREAT. YOUR CONTINUED SUPPORT AND PRAYERS ARE MUCH WELCOMED AND WE LOVE YOU ALL. KEEP IN TOUCH IN WHAT EVER WAY YOU WISH. WE LOVE IT ALL. THANKS SO MUCH, LOVE DON

Please remember you are in charge...tell him what you want....
You are right about the nurses in the infusion room at BMC....they are wonderful!
"Map" your first chemo experience for the three weeks..put each day on paper as to what happens...it becomes a "road map" on what to anticipate each following chemo.
ps..there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Love, Dave and Linda
